The above card is made from a 3D sheet I had for a long time.
I felt like a kid going to school on her first day when I joined the Y for the first time (as a Senior Citizen) Since there were no pools in the area where I grew up, and through the years, Hubby and I have rarely vacationed somewhere where there was a pool....
This was a real treat for me, to have my first ever pool membership... I was a little nervous going to the pool by myself for the first time, so my friend, Carol, volunteered to come over to my town and go swimming with me for the first time. We had a blast! She had a Y in her town that she used to go swimming. I guess I should say get wet in .... In my case anyway! Smile. Yes, I confess I don't know how to swim. I was just thinking of taking swimming lessons there when the virus hit and the pool was shut down.
The picture above is not the pool I actually got to swim in but it reminded me of the pool that used to be there...sadly, it' no longer exsists. It was a heated pool. It also had high windows to look out while I was swimming.
Thank you for visiting my blog today
Blessings,
Jill

The memory book sounds really lovely. Yup, swimming is so much fun! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteHi Jill I love what you have made. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteI love that page Jill! Love the texture on the hat. I just bought a new bathing suit to wear to the pool and haven't gone yet since I had Covid. I like to make sure I wear a suit that completely covers me up. I found one that has shorts and a high neckline.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm good to go. I just have to do it!
super cool, glad you had that swim..... our solar is now off the pool due to winter approaching, will miss my daily swim here at home. xx
ReplyDeleteFun card and a blast from the past! I joined the Y in Pottstown as a kid and loved not only the swimming, but the trampolines!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute image on the card Jill, and so beautifully made too.
ReplyDeleteI learnt to swim as a child, but cannot use the local pools as I kept getting sinus infections when I did.
Stay safe
Blessings

I love this card and the other cards you are sharing, Jill. What a great idea to place them throughout the memory book you made for your friend's daughter. You've given her a gift that keeps on giving! And I enjoy listening to your memories. Hopefully we won't have to wait too many months and Ys can be open again. (I can't swim either!) Happy Easter to you and Jim! I'm glad that you will be able to see your daughter and meet your new granddog! She looks like a sweetie pie! Hugs, Darnell
