I made this card using my Paper Blooms designer paper. I must be honest and tell you that I orginally threw this card into my paper trash bin. Hubby saw me do it, and said to me "Why did you do that?" I told him that I did NOT like the card, but he told me he did! So I picked it back out of the paper trash bin and tried again. I think I don't like the fact that the double sided paper I used did NOT have too much contrast. I added the doily to hopefully give the card more interest, and tried again...
The doily made this card larger than an A2 card it's a 5 inches by 6 1/2 inches card.
I found my instructions fo the dahlia fold here...
I added a ribbon and a brad, my sentiment was made from a die by Elizabeth craft designs
Thank you for visiting my blog today
Blessings,
Jill

Super pretty, love the layers, die cuts and style. Glad you didn't leave it in the trash bin.

I haven't made a dahlia fold card in years but I like this one with the doily behind it! The stitched flower front and center looks really pretty with the pink brad and matching ribbon! Nice save!
ReplyDeleteI still think this card is neat, special. You did a wonderful job.

ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous layering and folding on this remarkable design, Jill! So very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful, I am glad hubby had you get it back out, I haven't done one of those flowers in years, so many techniques out there for us to do :) The doily and your beautiful bow top it off so nicely!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I love when you do the paper folding. Beautiful card. I just realized that I forgot to mail the stamps. My daughter having her baby kind of took over. I apologize. I will mail them tomorrow before I forget again.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful, Jill! I love the paper and it's just a gorgeous card design - the detail is amazing :) Have a beautiful start to your week, my friend!
ReplyDeleteHi Jill
ReplyDeleteI am pleased that your hubby persuaded you to rescue the card. It is far too lovely to be thrown away!
Beautiful neat folds and a lovely colour palette too.
I hope you had a lovely weekend.
Love Jules xx
