After throwing two cards in the trash...I gave up on what I was trying to make, and started to clean up my craft room instead. In the process I found some 3d images I had put together a long time ago, and never made into a card. Since they were made so many years ago....I'm not sure where I found the images.
I've been trying to make changes with my cards, and have not been too successful. I'm used to making cards with lots of layers and embellishments. It's my goal to learn how to do one layer cards, or clean and simple cards. I'm not there yet! LOL But with these two cards above...I have tried to embrace the white space, which is also something new to me. I usually go hunting for designer paper, etc to match.
I had a happy surprise this week when I logged into Darnell's blog...I was one of the winners of her first ever challenge!!! Oh Happy day!

Since hubby and I are not going on vacation this summer...I consider my porch as my vacation spot, and lately I have been making my cards outside on my porch. (At least it's a way for me to enjoy being outside...smile) Today, I lasted 30 minutes out on my porch...It's definitely summer weather here....Sticky!!!

I really love your CAS cards, Jill. No patterned paper needed here. The first one is precious. The second is great and looks as if gingham has been added and looks great.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your win in Darnell's challenge.
Oh, I think you embraced the white space beautifully, Jill! Love them both, and isn't it amazing what results from cleaning the craft room! I have become completely hooded on clean and simple, it seems to make the images stand out even more - this are fantastic!
