A Day of Delight

A Quick post today. I made this card this past Saturday. I must say that last Saturday was a Day of Delight. It was a wonderful, almost perfect, spring day. Hubby and I took a nice leisurely drive, and then stopped at a restaurant before going home. The food was wonderful. The place we stopped to eat is surrounded by a couple of acres of pretty woods and stream to walk by. So after we were finished eating, we took a half hour or so walk around the restaurant. Doesn't sound too exciting, but it was so relaxing and felt so good to be out in the sun, after the rough winter. I treasure that wonderful day,
Wish I could say his week was filled with "Days of Delight"...smile....they were NOT! But that is life as they say.
The image was colored with copics by my husband (surprise, surprise) The Stamp is from Penny Black, I forget the name...it's Garden something? The sentiment is also from Penny Black.

I had to cover plants last night and I'm just hoping the dogwoods and azaleas weren't bitten by frost. Surely, that was our last frost this year.

ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty image, can't beat those PBlack stamps. Loved the scene, but such detail with the cushions on the chairs,flowers over the doors, the table set for a lovely afternoon tea. Liked the lacey S/B peeking out from the edge of the mat, and the texture on the pink cardbase..such a beautiful card. Glad you folks had a lovely drive & nice afternoon. We need those things to refresh us - ready to face the next hurdle that may be in our path. TFS & Hope all is well with you both. Hugs

I always loved rides in the car when it was spring weather (to cold to be out but warm in the car) with the sun pouring inside after a long winter. So I understand where your coming from Jill. Also tell you hubby another wonderful coloring job for you.
