In fact, I have never made a quilt but I have made pillows with quilt squares does that count? LOL

I realized last night, when I visited Debbie Macomber's web page, that yesterday was National Quilting Day. She posted on her web page that Lovely, creative quilt that someone made for her as a gift. So clever and it looks like a lot of work. She also asked "What is your favorite quilt?
My favorite quilt is the one I posted above. My daughter made the quilt as a Christmas present for us one Christmas. I'm using it to put on the guest bed I made up for our company coming to stay this week. And NO, my room is not painted that ugly yellow mustard color it looks in this picture. It's more of a pretty beige color. and the bed is NOT (hopefully not) going to stay that low. They delivered our new bed with a 4 inch box spring. Not what I ordered! They are suppose to exchange it for me with a new delivery on Tuesday.
I hope to be back later with another post...
Thanks for visiting my blog today,
Hope you are having a great weekend.
Blessings,
Jill

Oh wow what fabulous quilting, I have a gorgeous quilted throw on my sofa in my craft room but I wish I could say I made it myself but I'm rubbish at that sort of thing, this is superb work Jill, really love it.

ReplyDeleteThanks Jill for stopping by and trying to follow. I guess Blogger has a new thing and when you go to follow a blog, it says yada yada yada, try again later, I got the same message trying to follow your blog. When I got to that window I tried the "more options" and then clicked follow and done and it worked. Something new they are throwing at us I guess, lol. ~Diane
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt, Jill. Oh, don't you hate when the wrong thing is delivered....especially with visitors coming.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilts Jill - and the one your daughter made for you looks really dramatic. I have made two quilts - I had had enough after the first, but had to make one for my DS as well as DD, or there would have been mutiny!

What a stunning quilt! thanks for your comment on my blog :) huggles Sue xx
ReplyDeleteThat bookcase quilt is amazing, but the quilt your daughter made for you is much more precious! What a special way to make your guest feel welcome!
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt. That was a past hobby, along with machine embroidery. I never made a full size quilt either, but bought fabric just as I now buy card making supplies. Have a ton of quilt materials, wish I could think of a good way to incorporate all the fabric into cards, before it rots away! (oh I did make some throw quilts!) Guess I just like color. TFS & Hugs
