Coffee...Must have my coffee!

At Split Coast Stampers...Sue, wanted us to make a card for the Twisted Sister Challenge this week...using the theme of Coffee!  I am a big coffee drinker.  I start off every day with my cup of coffee.  Trying to cut down, and don't drink as much as did when I was working full time.  My desk at work was the one that was closest to the coffee maker.  I was usually the one that ended up making a new pot each time.  A fresh pot of coffee is my undoing.  I just had to have a fresh cup of coffee each time  I smelled that coffee brewing.

I made my card using the Iris folding technique.  My pattern came from a book that I purchased.  Up until a short time ago...it was on my desk..It must of walked away...LOL!  I'll have to add the name of the book later.

Thank you for visiting my blog...
Blessings,
Jill

  1. Love your iris coffee pot! I took a folding class last year, and haven't made a single thing since then! The colors are so soft & pretty, and this is a neat pattern too. TFS & Hugs

  6. I enlarged your card to get a good look at that iris fold. It's fabulous.
I don't do coffee...love the smell, hate the taste. I stick with Diet Dr. Pepper. :-)

  7. Your iris folding is top-notch, Jill! I just love seeing your nifty creations using this technique! I enjoyed your MM stocking, too!

Thank you for the shout out about copying my blog follower routine. I'm sure you will find some way to change it up a bit so it's a bit unique. I appreciate that you gave credit. Once it's out on the Intertube, it's fair game for anyone to copy and some have done it w/o sharing the source, so I appreciate the call out.

Finally, you did a wonderful job with your first time using that technique on the beautiful card you made in memory of your mother. I'm thinking of you ... try and enjoy the weekend. I hope you get a break in the weather and you haven't lost power! Hugs, Darnell

  8. Oh Jill this is gorgeous, I love the colours you have used in the design. I have never tried this technique, but have a book out from the library on it... now to use it before it needs to be returned!

  9. Maxine, I so hope you give this technique a try. It really does look a lot more difficult than it is. Just a bit time consuming, but I find Iris folding to be very relaxing.
