My Hubby's birthday Card

I made this card for my husband's birthday (which was yesterday!)  Yes I gave him his card late!  What should have taken me just a few minutes to make...took me hours!!!  As I said before, I am out of practice!

My card uses JustRite Clear stamps.  Called Anchors Away,  My Designer paper is from Stampin' Up, I used Tim Holtz distress inks to  color the background and lined my image with a gold pen.
My image was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Black embossing powder.

Had a nice day today,  My husband and I traveled to one of our favorite restaurants where he was able to get a free meal for his birthday.  Then we went to one of my favorite places...my favorite stamp store!
(Where I purchased the above stamp)  It was also a nice place for him too, because, believe it or not, he likes to go there!  He purchased some more copics

"There is always a lot to be thankful for,
if you take the time to look.
For example, I'm sitting here thinking how
nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt." ~Author Unknown.

The above quote popped out at me, because today I do hurt!!!

I'm such a Klutz!!!
two days ago, I went to get up from my computer, and my foot got tangled up in a cord hanging down from my computer...and bang down I went face down on my hardwood floor!  I honestly thought I broke my knee it hurt so bad, and I was afraid to get up.  I broke my fall with my arms so
the last two days, besides being black and blue, (on my arms and knees)   I'm a bit sore..all over!

.But my wrinkles don't hurt!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today,
Blessings,
Jill

  1. Hi Jill,I bet your hubby loved the beautiful card(and the time you took to make it!)I think it was only fair that you got to play at the craft store after all your hard work!
I am sorry to hear you have been in the wars-ouchy,I bet that did hurt, hard wood florrs and bones dont mix well do they?I hope you feel less battered tomorrow, but yes,hey-wrinkles don't hurt LOL! I am a right clumsy clot-I am deaf and lip read and sign, which isn't a problem at all,but deafness does make you VERY clumsy and affects my balance so i fall over A LOT it is a standing joke in this house when i get the wobbles "Mom's been on the bottle again" !! LOL Hope you have a good day :)
    Gentle hugs,Nessa xxx

  3. Happy belated birthday to Jim - I'm sure he loved this great card! We'll be heading to the same restaurant later on this month too, with perhaps an identical visit to that great stamp store:)
Watch your step now and take care!

You are lucky that you didn't get hurt worse and I am also super glad wrinkles don't hurt too as new ones pop up every hour on me! Hugz!!!

  5. What a super birthday card for your hubby. I am sure he appreciates the work that went into it.

Oh no.....sounds like you had a horrible fall. Glad you're not hurt worse than you are but sure it is bad enough. Heal quickly.

  6. I really like your husband's birthday card. That is so cool that you made him one. I am so sorry you fell and I hope you are feeling better. I know I have had some near falls this summer and realize as I get older my judgement and balance are just not what they used to be. lol

  11. What a great masculine card Jill. I am sure your hubby enjoyed it. Sorry to hear about your fall. I fell about the same time as you. My son left his shoes at the bottom of the steps and I didn't see them. Down I went-horribly skinned knee-I could even wear my slacks...lol Hope you are better.
    Bear Hugs,
    Carol
