I also had the good fortune to receive these lovely flowers from my husband today. Two dozen long stemmed roses. When I asked him he bought flowers (when he went to the grocery store...He said, something like "So I don't forget your birthday!" He has been known to forget ...not often...so this year he is covered...If he'll remember on the actual day of my birthday...well, that remains to be seen...LOL.

Jill, you are lucky to have a genuine Darnell and you are lucky to have a husband who does wonderful coloring. And now, I'd like a playhouse.......lol Also, the stamp show was not all that great this year, only 22 vendors, I think. Two aisles and that was all. You didn't miss much.
ReplyDeleteSuper fun card you received - I visited her playhouse and I am sooo jealous. I am jealous of your flowers too - what a thoughtful husband. I understand his thought process here - I have trouble remembering dates too - missed a baby shower yesterday - bad me! Hugz!
ReplyDeleteDarnell's card is really beautiful, and so are your roses. I understand his reasoning too. It's so hard to remember everyone's birthday. Mostly because I never know what the date is. The worst one I forgot, was my Dad when he was still living. His birthday was March 16th, and he always waited by the phone, knowing I was going to call him first thing in the morning. One year, I had no clue what date it was until I woke up one morning and heard on the radio it was St. Patrick's Day. Apparently he'd waited until 11:00 pm the day before for my call, and I hadn't called. He knew the moment the phone rang the next day that it was me, but I felt so terrible! He was one of those people who didn't care about the card, he wanted a phone call, and the year I forgot I was devastated.
