Birthday Card, I made for my Mother's friend...
I tried using the following page for the background for a folding card, but they looked too busy
for my card when folded up, so Instead I'm going to keep them as a background for a scrapbook page.
I wasn't feeling well yesterday, so my hubby brought me a flower picked from our garden.
It was proof to me that spring is finally here. Don't you like the fancy container he put it in?
Carol, (known as GingerBeary) her website is here...
Did a tutorial at Split coast stampers for the Napkin gold card which can be found here...
I also had made two of these cards using a Tutorial found at Stampartic
which can be found at the following link...
I had made two of these cards before which can be found here...
The part of I find the most difficult about these cards is figuring out what papers/patterns
I'm going to use...they turn out to be two busy or too plain...
that's why I thought the one set I did would work better for a scrapbook page background.
In one of previous posts I mentioned using a hammer to make my card (for the eyelets)
On this card I had to use an IRON! Don't ask me how long it's been since I got out my iron...
I could not tell you. But my flower on the front of the card, was actually bought a few years
ago when I went to a quilt show with my daughter. It's actually an Iron on for fabric.
Thank you for visiting my blog today.
Blessings, and Happy Spring
Jill

This is gorgeous Jill. I love the flower and the pretty bow, and that paper is bautiful.
ReplyDeleteI like the backgrounds below, too.
I have problems with those napkin fold cards too, so I've only made one.
I'm glad to know you aren't having any problems with SCS and Firefox. Maybe tomorrow when I restart my computer it will be okay. Hopefully it is just choking on the update or something. I probably should have restarted it again this morning, but I had a lot of errands until 2 p.m., and I was more interested in card making than computer problems!
That birthday card is beautiful! I love your daffodil too :) It makes me think of my mom. She would pick of bouquet of them for me on my birthday. Have a great weekend. I hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteLove the finished product Jill - the lengths we go to to make a card!!
ReplyDeleteI love the fancy container the flower is in :-) At least he thought to l=pick you a flower!
Blessings
Maxine
Oh, what a beautiful iron on flower. You've made your mom's friend a beauty. That will be a beautiful scrapbook page, too.
ReplyDeleteI made one napkin fold....it was time consuming, at least, for me.
Your daffodil is so pretty. Mine bloomed in February and long gone. But, it has still been so cold and rainy all Spring. Things are beginning to get in the mid to upper 70's starting today and I hope it lasts and goes higher soon.
WOW Jill, this is just stunning! I love those roses!
