In fact, this was the description for the challenge at split coast
For many years, Barb and members of her club have spread
sunshine by making and distributing more than 47,000 greeting cards to people
who are ill, mourning, lonely or struggling with other adversity in their
lives.
So now it's her turn to receive some Happy mail. My card was made by recycling. My sister in law had made me a Birthday card many years, using her embroidery sewing machine to make the apple for my card. Her card was made a bit different and much larger than mine. I have been trying to house clean and try and let go of some of my extra received cards....difficult for me to let go of things. especially if it's something handmade.
So I called my sister-in-law and asked her if she would mind if I recycled her card by reusing her apple. She thought it was neat that her Apple that had been happy mail for me...would also be happy mail for someone else.
Thank you for visiting my blog...
Blessings,
Jill

What a wonderful idea and what a wonderful card!
ReplyDeleteLove the apple and the fact that it is a re-used 'bit of love' makes it even more special.

ReplyDeleteWhat a superb idea to recycle that pretty embroidered apple. This is just beautiful. I am sure that teacher is going to love it. Wouldn't it be cool if she recycled the apple to an ornament for her Christmas tree.
