Last year I received a beautiful card from Sabrina...Cook on Split Coast Stampers.
This week I finally cased her beautiful card. I like Sabrina's card better. Her pretty Daisy on the bright colorful background is so much better made than mine...
Below is my take on the card...
Above is the front of my card...
This is the inside of my card...

The inside of Sabrina's card.
It was such a nice surprise receiving Sabrina's card in the mail...especially since it was the first time that I had ever received mail from Ireland. My card came a long way...Didn't she do a beautiful job?
I especially like the bird inside the card. I may have posted this on my blog before...but It definitely deserved a second look. So now, that I have made one of these card folds...I can appreciate how much work she put into making my card...
The tutorial for this card can be found at Split coast stampers here
I don't think that Sabrina has a blog...but you can see her work here
My card was made with Designer paper from Stampin' Up and the flowers were cut out with a Spellbinder die...Blossom 3, My rubber stamp is called Friends and flowers. I stamped the image with versa Mark, and heat embossed with brown embossing powder, and decorated with a brad, ribbon,a and a cuttlebug die...

Yes, Sabrina does beautiful work and so do you. I love the fold you did and the inside is sooooo pretty. Both are gorgeous cards.
ReplyDeleteI like both cards. They are both so different from the other, and I quite like your more muted colours and the texture.

They are both beautiful Jill, but since you probably know that I prefer fewer colors on my cards, I like yours better.
ReplyDeleteI like the non cluttered look of yours because you can see each element, rather than having lots of things competing with each other. Yours is calm and soothing, and very pretty.
I do like hers too, but I like yours better!
I love your card and Sabrina's. What an interesting card base...I must check out the tutorial. (Thanks for providing the link.)
ReplyDeleteYou always inspire me to try new techniques. By the way, I was able to find a pennant punch so I can case/copy that great card you posted last week. My only question is, "Are you going to subsidize all these purchases I make in order to emulate your creations?" LOL!
I think your textured flower looks just gorgeous, Jill, and I love blue and brown as a colour combination. I found it a hard enough fold to decorate (as witnessed by the fact I haven't made another one!); your inside carries through much better from the front, keeping it themed.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are very pretty with that unique fold! Love the flowers!
ReplyDeleteNice job Jill. One thing I've found that is sometimes difficult to try and case someones card unless you have everything exactly like theirs. Otherwise it seems it always looks different. What a cute way to open that card?
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
Hugs...Leanne
