Okay, I feel like I'm cheating...Posting my husband's work again...I just have not found the time to get anything done lately. This is a cross-stitch that he made many years ago. It is now hanging on the wall at our favorite bed and breakfast, where he gave the cross-stitch as a gift. After looking at the blogs ...on the blog...where bloggers create....It has inspired me to get my craft room straightened up...NOT AN EASY JOB. That job was made even worse tonight. I was feeling like I was finally making some progress (after many hours of working in my craft area)
when I went to move some shelving, and I knocked it over. It's where I keep my beads and buttons, and lots and lots of tiny embellishments...which are now all over my floor. I just walked out of the room and shut the door. I was just too tired to deal with it today. (and I got too depressed just looking at it..). Fortunately, I wasn't hurt, and nothing got ruined. Just made a big mess.
What lovely needlework your husband does! I would have walked out of the room and cried I think if I had spilled all that small stuff! I hope you feel more like cleaning it up after a good nights sleep.
ReplyDeleteYour hubby's cross stitched picture is gorgeous!Love the owls!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad the shelf did not hit you in the head! There must be a beautiful shine on you floor now!LOL BE CAREFUL!!!
Hugs,Connie
Oh my goodness, this cross stitched picture is incredible, and what a wonderful tribute to your husband's talent to have it hanging on a B&B wall! I'd be proud to hang it too!
ReplyDeleteIf you want some help to clean your craft room, I'm available! Just pick up the phone and I'll come help you sort out all those beads, buttons and bling! I once dumped my entire container of brads and eyelets on the carpet, so I know exactly how you feel! Months later my bare tootsies were still finding a stray eyelet here and there that the vacuum missed! LOL
Oops! Sorry about the mess in your craft room.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my blog for details of a spontaneous blogger meet at Sight and Sound. If you guys can make it, I would be thrilled.
Otherwise, as it is such short notice I'll work something else out to meet with you there.
