Thank you Becky, for thinking of me.
I am to think of SIX unimportant things that make me happy!
I saw this post this morning and I've been thinking about it off and on throughout the day. It's a difficult question for me to answer.
I have two mothers that are both handicapped. My mother uses a walker/and wheelchair, and a my step-mother (who is bed ridden) has lost the use of her arms and legs....so Because of seeing the struggles of both of them...
Not much to me seems UNIMPORTANT!
I now know the importance of being able to WALK and explore.

I love to read, and I now know the importance of being able to turn the pages of a book
To be able to pick up a telephone and call a friend.
I don't like to shop, but I am glad that I am "physically" able to do so.
To be able to hear a bird sing! (my step-Mother can't hear that through her nursing home window)
To be able to hear a bird sing! (my step-Mother can't hear that through her nursing home window) I could think of many more...
NOTHING IS UNIMPORTANT!
Jill I am sorry to hear about both your Mom and Mom in law. I agree with you everything is important!

I know what you mean.
ReplyDeleteI nearly clarified it on my post.
Everything I thought of, I thought but that is important. Except for the singing thing.
Thanks for playing along.
You did great!
You are so wise to appreciate what you HAVE instead of complain about what you do not have.
ReplyDeleteSo many things that seem unimportant...things we take forgranted everyday, that really are the IMPORTANT things in life. Great list!! Thanks for commenting on my blog!

When we're young, we don't often stop to appreciate all the things we're able to do with ease, but we somehow gain wisdom with age and learn to appreciate what we've taken for granted for so many years! Thanks for such a great, thought-provoking post today and your card for your DH is great!
