This card kind of reminds me of a quilt, The pattern and the directions for the card are in a book I purchased called "Paper Quilts" by Sandra Lounsbury Foose.
"Our lives are like quilts-bits and pieces, joy and sorrow, stitched with love."

This Box of a miniature sewing room has always been a favorite gift of mine, My sister-in-law made it for me many years ago for a Christmas present. It has been hanging on my walls for many years.
"I rather be stitching than in the kitchen."
The above statement is so true...It has always been true that if I had my choice between baking, cooking and crafting...I would take crafting any day!
I sewed and cross stitched the above apron as a gift for my mother-in-law.
What a lovely card, shadowbox, and apron! Thank-you so much for sharing such inspirational pieces! I always love to come check out what neat ideas you've got posted here!
ReplyDeleteOh my GOSH! This card is incredible!! I've never seen anything like it, and I just LOVE it! You make some of the most unique and beautiful cards I've ever seen! I love that little sewing room frame, what a thoughtful gift! Great apron you made there, and I'd rather be crafting any day too!

Literary Nut, thank you so much for the nice comments...So many people share such nice things in their blogs (including you) I just hope I can give a little back...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carol...Thank you for visiting my blog...
ReplyDeleteWe are opposites as I would rather be in the kitchen then stitching. I sue to do needlepoint years ago but my eyes are not the best. Now actual sewing of a dress for me just makes me nervous thinking about it. I can manage a hem and a button or two but then I become sewing challenged:) I just started to blog and isn't it so much fun to meet people from around the world?

Joyce, I know just what you mean...I stopped cross-stitching because my eyes can't handle it anymore...and I would probably have the same problem with sewing, but there is a part of me that wants to get back to it again. Welcome to the world of blogging, I'm fairly new too. Still learning how to things. AND YES, it is nice how you get to meet so many people.
